Created in partnership with composer & producer Spencer Boechler, we were given the prompt to be subtle, yet influence the connections between the different grantees interviewed in this experimental documentary.
Each element/instrument introduced is meant to represent a specific concept, theme, and/or feeling explored. And depending on which grantee is speaking, the instruments and their effects change, influenced by their personality/cadence.
This builds up into a crescendo at the ending, in which the ideas get so expansive, the instruments all collectively play at once until we're met with simple ending, which was a personalized rendition of the provided Mellon Sonic Identity provided by client.
